NEW YORK, Feb. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ – Grammy Award Winning band Train is set to release California 37 on April 17, 2012. The new record is the follow-up to the band’s multi-platinum 2009 release Save Me, San Francisco which featured the biggest song of 2010, “Hey Soul Sister.” Train recorded the new album in San Francisco and Los Angeles with Butch Walker and Espionage producing the record.
The first single from California 37, “Drive By,” has been rocketing up the sales and radio charts, with over 67,000 singles sold in only the first three weeks. The song has been most added at multiple formats for several weeks in a row and is already charting at Top 40, Hot AC and AAA radio. Internationally “Drive By” has been embraced in the UK, Canada, Japan, France, Australia, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Netherlands, Switzerland and other countries.
Train will also unveil the third varietal from their Save Me, San Francisco Wine Company, a Cabernet Sauvignon called ‘California 37′ this spring. Tickets Go On Sale in Israel and the UK Feb 10th
North American Tickets Go On Sale Beginning Feb. 13th
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ – Madonna is having a huge party and everyone’s invited. The Madonna 2012 World Tour begins May 29th 2012 in Tel Aviv, Israel it was officially announced by Live Nation Entertainment, the tour’s international promoter. The shows will include arenas, stadiums and special outdoor sights including the Plains of Abraham in Quebec and a return visit to South America as well as Australia where she has not performed in 20 years. The tour will stop in 26 European cities including London, Paris, Milan and Berlin.
The first of 26 North American shows is scheduled for August 28th in Philadelphia and includes a September 6th show in NY’s Yankee Stadium and an October 10th performance at LA’s Staples Center. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale beginning February 10th in Tel Aviv and the United Kingdom, with North American tickets going on sale beginning February 13th. Madonna’s previous tour, the phenomenally successful “Sticky & Sweet” Tour reaffirmed her status as one of the most successful touring artists of all time. The historic tour included such incredible touring feats as a 70,000 seat sell-out in Werchter, Belgium, an 85,000 sell-out in Helsinki (the largest show ever in the Nordic countries by a solo artist), a 40,000 ticket sell-out in Oslo, Norway, and 72,000 tickets sold out in one day in Tallinn Estonia. The new set of tribute artists—who will perform from now through Oct. 28—will portray Elvis, The Temptations, Madonna, the Blues Brothers, Roy Orbison and Martina McBride.
Leo Days, one of the most sought-after Elvis tribute artists in the world, will return to Legends in Concert Myrtle Beach to portray Elvis Presley. Eric Martin and Carmen Romano give an electrifying tribute to The Blues Brothers. With Martin as Dan Aykroyd and Romano as the late John Belushi, this duo has performed all over the world together for more than 20 years in nearly 10,000 shows. Brian McCullough will shine on his jaw-dropping portrayal of hit “Pretty Woman” singer Roy Orbison.
Kimberly Goltry will also take the stage as the legendary “Material Girl” for a few weeks in the fall season. The leading Madonna tribute artist has performed since the age of 10 and has appeared on The Lawrence Welk Show as well as with entertainers Bob Hope, The Lennon Sisters and Jack Lemmon. The unforgettable Temptations are portrayed by The Legacy, comprised of Greg Lassiter, Talmadge Pearsall, EJ, Doc Hutchinson and Grady Harrell, Jr. They take guests back to the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s by demonstrating passionate, sultry harmonies and impeccably smooth choreography. The highly-talented Stacey Whitton will portray the Billboard-topping Martina McBride during the fall months.
